Kamskje ein betre ide å legge ut foto frå vraket..? Foto av tekniske detaljar, til dømes maskinerim vinsjar.. etc. Kva tilstand er det på dette og står Bolinderen i båten?

I am very glad you found the anchor. It was on the "Fram" to the South Pole, and then with "Maud". A much travelled piece of iron, togther with the winch.
I see you have been in contact with my "lost" friend John Rogers. Hi John ! He was the one who originally found the anchor. Our friend Randy Bergen, showed it to me, and now it hopefully can be taken care of. Congratulations. Very good.

I wish to say to everyone involved that this spirit of finding a path, of finding a way - not unlike Mr. Amundsen, the people of Norway and of Canada - shall always persevere.
I trust others of our planet will take note and allow that same spirit to develop a little more strongly as a result.
May Maud's passage homeward be smooth...may she land, may she rest and may she emanate that you shall always go forth with the knowledge that you can always go back home too.
"The Northwest Passage" takes on a slightly newer meaning today.

Congratulations to your team! I live in Cambridge Bay and it has been sad indeed to see her in her current state. It serves absolutely no purpose to leave the Maud where she currenly rests. Maud belongs to the people of Norway and generations to come. One day I would like to travel to Vollen to see Maud in all her glory. Safe Travels Maud!

If left in Cambridge Bay, Maud will serve no useful purpose. If Maud is salvaged, and preserved, she can serve as an historical and educational tool so future generations can learn about the great ships and shipbuilding techniques of the past. Is the Canadian government likely to do this? Let Maud go to people who understand her importance and potential.
